This past weekend we headed back to mom and dad's to go to the Aflac Outdoor Games and watch the Timbersports (log running, climbing and chopping) and the air dogs (dogs that run and jump off a dock to compete for greatest distance) and to celebrate Father's Day. It was exactly 100 degrees on Saturday while we were walking around checking out the games. The ice in our water bottles literally melted within seconds. Despite the heat we were able to watch a few of the events.
The rest of the weekend was spent being lazy. Ginny, Chris and Mackenzie came over Saturday night and mom cooked some killer ribs.
On Father's Day we gave Dad and Alan their gifts and they each got to take an afternoon nap. Such a treat. Alden entertained us with his spiderman impression.

And no weekend and Mimi and Papa's is complete without splashing in the pool.

Sounded like such a fun and event filled weekend! I love Alden's spiderman pose, he and Kate together with any chances to climb could really be trouble (she's a climber too!).
ReplyDeleteA nap.. that sounds like a PERFECT gift!
