Winter Break

This week is winter break for Emma Kate's school. Apparantly, sometime after I left Georgia public schools, it was decided that six weeks after the 2 week Christmas break we needed another week long break. I'm not really sure I understand why we have this break, but fortunately I can take this week off of work to hang out with the kids.




We started off the break with a white weekend. Schools closed early last Friday for the weather. It snowed from about noon until well after dark. Saturday morning we were outside bright and early to play in the fresh snow. Alan bought a $4 sled and we had a blast pulling each other around. Alden took one ride on the sled with me and then did a face plant in the snow. He wouldn't go near it after that.

But he loved being outside and running around in the yard.

EK had a blast on the sled!!

We will be heading to the mountains this weekend for a mini-vacation with my family. We are looking forward to it and I'm sure I will have lots of good pictures to post soon.
